GOOD READ ABOUT OUR "SCENE"

a lot of mini truckers are douche bags and they encourage people doing stupid stuff at shows, thats why more and more shows stop happening. people will learn when they have nowhere to go anymore

Well I must say Im a little confused   If you all recall it was me that chose to have him arrested! I have a family myself and intend on keeping LOATP a family event. Furthermore the parking lot at the Hotel should not reflect on what rally happens at the show....  Like I said Im really confused by this whole ordeal BUT I ASSURE YOU.......A LOT more stuff happended that weekend that no one even knows about because I took care of the situations before getting out of hand.   Please dont read this thinking I am upset just wanted you all to know that I TRIED my BEST to have a fun safe show for everyone to enjoy with hopes you will be back APRIL 2010!!!!!  

Very very well put. The talk of what went on made me sick... and honestly embarrased to say I'm part of a scene where people do such things. Hopefully change is in order, because if not I know I'll be out of it and moving more into the classic/custom scene which is one reason why I chose to build my 67.

Please don't think it is only younger "20 somethings" doing this because its not. I have seen older guys acting like an ass as well. I am only 22 and go to more shows than most people on this site. I have never destroyed anything or gotten drunk at a show. If you see me have one drink it is a rarity.  I am just saying that you can't group the people who do this into any kind of profile b/c they come from all ages, races, etc.

Everybody blames it on the alcohol....I've been an avid show goer...drinker...partier since 2002. Drinking both at shows...and 100's of college parties...and i have never been in an altercation or damaged anything. No alcohol/show related tickets...etc. etc. Banning alcohol or taking it out of shows isn't going to solve the problems....people are still gonna drink regardless...banning the dumb asses who cant control themselves is a good start in solving the problems. The more and more show problems I hear about...the more and more i hear about the locals causing the problems. Even at Tex Mex  this year...the few problems that they had...were caused by people who lived within 20 miles of the show. That's why when I go to shows...i stick with my own people. Cause 90% of the time its an outsider causing the drama. Perfect example was Kill Switch...some random ass dude started talking shit and got hit. Then their crew dumbed the trash can full of beer cans/bottles into the pool...but we got blamed for it. Stick to your own people and let the locals ruins their own shows...not ours.

i agree. i dont think it is the alcohol. some people are just idiots and like attention. but ill take the tits and beer. they can keep the hell raising lol

its funny that this topic was brought up. me and the old lady were just talking about me finishing my yota. and i was telling her i remember when minitruckin was fun and now that im a family man it does not feel like that anymore. i think part of the reason is that these young punks and locals have no respect for the scene but honestly its our fault as much as theirs. when you see a kid misbehave or act out in public what do you think? bad parenting right? most of us need to start acting like parents if we want these shows to continue especially any of us that have been around for a while. i also think it should start with the clubs we need to get organized and police the hotels that no one gets out of hand. at the same time if its one of your own memebers that gets out of hand well it should be handled. i also think the whole drag that shit and drag and destroy shirts give people the idea that thats what they are suppose to do and as we all know that always leads to trouble
