After hearing Matt's story and seeing pics of the work, and now the lack of work to yours and the broken word, just wow. I've wondered from the sportruck.com forum over the years, why I had never seen a full blown show truck from you, showcasing your product (which I find innovative, clean and simple). Now I know why. It's a shame that a shop owner/fellow enthusiast such as Jason has gone to such great lengths to string you along. I mean, we all understand family issues, heck everyone has them. You were more then calm and refrained during the entire ordeal, much moreso then myself or many others could have been, I commend you for that. I am saddened to see that so many trucks that have come from that shop, that I thought to myself, wow what a top notch business this guy has created for himself, with clean simple work, that I mainly became a fan of, basically because of the stance and wheels, turned out to be, just another drama filled shop.We all know how long it takes to build something, depending on your skill, location, tools, space etc. But to do what he did, was just plain outright dishonest. Jon @ DB, who's work I've always admired, originally stemming from his S10, is doing the stand up thing with the burban on here that he was working on. That shows true character, honesty etc, maybe Jason should take notes from him.... I am stoked to hopefully see updates in the future of your truck, and your dream coming true. We all have them, and the only thing that holds us back is time and money. Hopefullly when you take SEMA 2010 coverage, you'll have quite a few pics of your truck in there! ---------------------------------------------Thanks Scott! That was was plan back in 2005 with the first shop. I just wanted to build something clean and simple hoping to get featured so I could get more exposure. When things didn't work out with the first two shops I went to Hill's with hopes of taking my truck to Sema. The last dollar amount that I told Jason I was willing to spend back in July would have been more than I ever needed to spend but I was willing to do whatever it took to take it to the next level. It's hard to "string" along my invention with old photos and decent quality and to turn people off by telling them to "sign my petition". I want people to see my invention in person so they will see what they are getting is a quality product and not just something I thought of to earn a quick buck. I would rather it fail, then con people into buying a cheap product that has my name on it. I've been burned by several manufacturers in the past and almost had it in production a few different times. I've even had a design feature stolen from my patent back in 2002 and then it was on another companies tonneau cover in 2004 at Sema. I talked directly to the owner of the company and he gave me the same attitude that I got in the Lubbock the day I left. Rude, no hand shake and he couldn't see past his own nose. So if you own a tonneau cover that has a keyless touch pad that allows you to punch in the numbers to gain access.... YOU'RE WELCOME!
