whats happening to the custom scene. like at shows,  recently went to a show.. i was walkin around an all i seen was trucks straight off the lot with rims, factory trucks that looks like they came off south main beat to hell with rims, 4x4 trucks(that are tore up mud trucks) that should be retired a long time ago showing . seriously my truck is nothing close to a cover truck. but i put lots of time an work into making it the best it can be, when some guys with trucks parked next to me at a show with a huge dent on EVERY part  of the truck with rims   Freaks of Nature    Louisiana VP

There are SOME shows where its actually cheaper to enter a car then to pay for parking and multiple entrance fees...

It's all about the sweet ass trophies, obviously!  Why wouldn't you try to enter for that sweet ass piece of plastic?  Maybe they have a new class that we are unaware of that only the stock guys know about, hmmm.

yeah its is sort of a two sided sword. on one side they are bringing more money and attendance to the show. besides, its not like they are over there takin all the trophies lol. but on the flip side, nobody is goin to the show to see your stock ass piece of shit! i mean i have a tahoe thats lowered, has 24's, and katzskin leather and i would never even think to put that in a show! its a daily driver! there isnt much work or creativity put into that so wtf are you showing people. in my opinion a show is a place where everyone goes to display their creativity and hard work as well as hang out with everyone else that shares that common intrest. thats great if you share the same intrest as all the guys that are in the show that have countless hours invested in their rides, but leave your crap outside the gate, snap some pics, get some ideas, ask some questions, then go home and start working on making your ride show worthy!

I see your point; however, I can remember taking my old Silverado to a show or two when all I had was a 2" drop and some 18" wheels.  Had I not started going then I might not have a body dropped shaved and painted truck That I have now?  Food for thought.  I know we all feel different and thats okay.  I don't get all the trucks in primer.  But hey it's a personal thing.  Last year I went to a show and I saw more trucks in primer than painted?
