Can i get someone to weigh in on this for me, and let me know their point of view from their standpoint.
Earlier in December, a customer placed an order on my website for a set of s10 arms. He paid for his order via paypal, with a confirmed address and all the good stuff, the arms were 4 weeks out, and 22 days after he order them, i shipped the arms out.
Well, about 2 weeks after i shipped the customer sends me an email saying he has not received his order, and he would like to know what the hold up is. I looked the order up, had a tracking number for the order, showing proof of delivery, about 3 days after i sent them. I sent him the tracking number to see for him self, and he continues to tell me that the address that i sent them to is not his address, and he does not know where i got it from.
I quickly showed him a screen cap of the order through paypal, with the confirmed address from when the payment was made, showing the address that I had sent the arms to. He continued to tell me he had no idea were that address came from, and that he had not lived at that address in over 3 years. He said that I had shipped the parts to the wrong address, because when he was on my site, he entered a different address, but that one must not have came through with his paypal order.
So, after a few emails of him continuously telling me that this was my fault and that he was not going to get scammed for his money, i told him to take this up with paypal for a better explanation. He did. He filed a claim with paypal on the payment he sent to me. I stated my case, and provided the tracking number, and within 15 min from the case opening, the case was closed by paypal favoring on my behalf.
After this happened, I honestly started to feel bad for the guy, because really none of this benefits me at all, and he probably realized after talking with paypal that he just selected the wrong address when he went to send the paypal payment, and it was just a regular old mistake on his behalf. So, i had decided on monday, i would find a set of s10 uppers and send him a set to the new address of his, to wash this all over, and so that i could stop thinking about it. Before i got a chance to email him and let him know i would do this, he fires off another email to me, telling me this is all my fault, and that he did not get what he paid for.
Shoud I still feel obligated to help this guy?? Honestly, if he would have admitted that he pulled a bone head move and selected the wrong address when he sent the payment, i would have sent him another set of arms out no problem... but he insisted that this was my fault on my end, and that i was somehow scamming him.
