I thought it was common knowlege that you use the exhaust to rest hydraulic line on, after all it is heat resistant so it should have been fine.---------------------------------------------I would like to personally address this:It's not that we wouldn't "own up" to it.  The hose DID LAST for 2 months so it really couldn't be put on us as being an installation error.  This car had 17" wheels and sat literally on the ground and like Jimmy said things can shift and could have been dragged through for all we knew.  And just like a pilot inspects their plane before taking off, every once in a while the car does need a once-over to avoid a potential future issues that can be avoided.  Not saying it was entirely Don's fault for not checking, but it is a mechanical part and things can happen...and every time something happens it's not always our responsibility to fix it.   The other side of this story is that Don bought a used (but in great condition) setup from us.  During the installation, there was an issue with the pump (not a Hydroholics pump).  It was working, but we did detect a small internal leak.  We could have let it go and be Don's problem down the road, but rather we installed a brand new Hydroholic pump in it's place which we ate most of our profit to make sure this was done properly.       ---------------------------------------------I agree 100% that you guys handled the pump situation like stand up guys. But come on drug through the hose? He would have had to drag through the oilpan,transmission,differential,exhaust, etc to get to the line. Unless there was enough slack in the line for it to hang down 8 inches and rub on the ground which in that case  is a complete fumble on your part and im definatly not ruling that out.Its not even the cost of the $50 hose that was the issue, im just confused on why one customer got taken care of so well that you would drive 6 hours each way to fix his car and in this case no effort was made to solve the problem?And i really doubt the hose would fail right where it was resting on the sharp point of the exhaust hanger. I realize that on any modified suspension you have to keep an eye on things but if he was told " I went ahead and just rested the hose on top of your exhaust the entire length of the car and didnt use anything to secure it to the car, but dont worry its heat resistant" he would have kept a closer eye on that area. And the fact that the hose has been replaced and attached properly to the car for 8 months without one issue leads to to belive that it was definatly an installation error. This post wasnt intended to rain on your I LOVE HYDROHOLICS parade but i just want to let everyone know that even the "hydraulic gods" make mistakes every once in a while. Hydroholics and Tre5 (Jeremy) are 2 different businesses. Yea they are associated with each other, but since Hydroholics didnt do the install, I dont see why this is issue you speak of is being discussed in this thread. Hydroholics has the best customer service in the hydraulics suspension industry. They have quality parts, and best of all local to me. I'm pretty sure Aaron drove 6 hours to Cali to fix an issue with a part that he sold, not an installation issue. As far as that hose rubbing through on the exhaust....I DOUBT IT! Hydraulic hose will take a lot of abuse and rubbing before it rubs through. I don't see it being possible for an exhaust hanger to rub though in 2 months. I have drug a hose for a few miles before it rubbed through. Ive seen hoses with slices to the steel braids still holding up. I think what Hydroholics did by selling the hose at cost was fair, since it was a used setup and they weren't the actual installer.---------------------------------------------Exactly, this thread was started to compliment Hydroholics (Aaron), for helping someone out with a problem they didn't know how to take care of, NOT about the install. Unless the hose broke at one of the crimps, IT IS NOT Hydroholics error. BUT, this is StreetSource, and you will NEVER find a forum that is 100% positive.........

The difference between Ben's car (the one who started the thread) and Don's car (your roomate) is that Ben's car had an issue 2 days after the install, not 2 months.  Just for clarification... the hose was not just resting on the exhaust without anything holding it in place. I know that is not what you are saying it was, I just don't want anyone to misunderstand your point. The whole thing with "Hydroholics did the install, they should take care of the issue" is just one of the reasons that Aaron and myself decided to give a name to the installations (Tre5 Customs).  Hoses can become loose, zip ties break (ask Aaron, lol), clamps come apart, ect. The hose could easily start to hang down. On that car it would not need to be anwhere close to 8", like you say. Even if it came loose with 2" of slack, it could get moved and next time the car is laid out, smoooooosh! I would love to see a pic of the underside of that car and see that nothing underneath has ever been dragged. I am never happy that we have an unhappy customer out there, but sometimes there is no way to make a person 100% happy. I can't believe after almost a year we are still even talking about this...

I just my car finished and its not perfect but we're working through the issues (leaks and what not) but even my friend said it rode better then my air ride did and he is always trying to knock air or hydros. He was actually impressed with the hydros. My first drive sucked, but I think there was just some air or something in the lines because now its great. I would deffinetly do hydros again now that the car is driving.  Also thanks to the hydroholics guys, the help they provided over the build was very helpful. I know where I am going next time.
