Here is my S-10 I got this truck when I was 16 and drove it every day for 8 years before I tore It apart for a stock floor. I am a mechanic and a fabricator so my projects often dont get the time they deserve. This truck getting sponsered would be a dream come true, you better believe this truck would make it to sema and many shows. I will have this truck for ever so you wont see it on craigslist a week after sema...

Jimmy, I wasn't sure how you were picking the "winner" so I didn't know if I needed to include that info, i also added a couple more pics

I have been "Minitruckin" for well over 10 yrs now, I started with a stock S10, I bagged and did all the bodywork myself but was never able to get it in to paint. After Having my first child and going through a rough divorce I was not able to put the money into the truck for up-keep or modifications and was forced to sell my fist mini. During this time my Step-Father (RIP) had givin me his stock 95 Toyota pick-up, and told me that "he wanted me to finish this one". My new wife and I saved pretty much every extra penny we had for the parts to Bag' the yota. During this time of saving and buying parts one-by-one I was in a injured in a work accident, which has left me temporarily totally disabled. after falling 30 feet while constructing the roof of a church I have been laid off due to my inability to perform the duties of my job. I sustained injuries that left me with chronic back and neck pain caused by burst discs, broken ribs, a small brain hemorrhage, limited use of my hands, the inability to sit, stand or walk for periods lasting longer than 20 minutes and the inability to lift anything greater that 10 pounds which, regretfully includes my 5-year old son who loves everything about minitruckin and our club = SUNSET= He loves going to shows, rollin' in the "mini," and tinkering in the garage. Like most fathers I hope to set a good example for my son and show him that minitruckin is not just a hobby- it's a lifestyle.

After talking to a Close friend about selling the parts that I had accumulated for the Yota he offered his garage and tools for me to bag the truck. well now I had the time, the place and the parts but no money for material and odds and ends. After coming to this realization and talking again to my buddies, One of them offered to Front the extra cash for material in return for some work on his truck. So we tore in to the yota and layed it out! (I will forever be Thankful for these guys!) I "Z'd" the frame, built lower "A-arms" and built a 5 link with Plate lift bars and body dropped the bed. I also shaved the handles, antenna, tailgate and 3rd break lite. fast forward a year and a half, the Yota is doing good but still in primer and not finished, and my Step Father has passed away suddenly of unknown causes, Just before his passing he again expressed his desire for me to build "something awesome out of nothing." His death was sudden and very difficult on me as we shared many fond memories, including our love of cars and trucks and anything custom and I am saddened that he was not able to the see the Yota finished before he passed away.

I don't really know when or if I will be able to Finish the Yota, Since becoming unemployed in 2009 I have been unable to finance my own projects but am blessed that, despite my accident, I am still able to help other mini-truckers acheive their goals for there trucks And try to help anytime I can. I do have plans for finishing the yota but have come to the realization that I wont be able to go all out like I had hoped so I have settled on 1 color, non body dropped and a simple interior. I would love to bodydrop the yota and do a "Over the top" old school "minitruck" paint job like the "Time Machine" or "last look" with a clean Suede and leather interior with a smoothed and painted dash and other accent pieces, Clean nice sounding stereo and a built motor. I already make all the Cali and AZ shows and cruise nights so taking the Sponsored truck to shows would be no problem. All in all I would love for it to be my truck that you pick, but after seeing the other entries I know its going to be a difficult decision for you, But I hope that it goes to someone that deserves it! Either way see you guys in AZ at "Bring the Noize"

Awesome sponsors. Thanks for your work on getting these sponsors. Everyone take care "Life is Short"....

----------------------------------

Hello I'm just putting my truck up for the hell of it. I have nothing to loose anymore. Here is my story. I'm an active duty U.S.NAVY engineer. Currently diagnosed with clear cell Sarcoma and undergoing treatment. I've lost my Right thumb due to the Cancer and has Spread to my Lymph nodes . I have served for 9 years Active Duty and most likely will be medically retired Due having cancer. In boot camp Sept 19th 2001. Also was IA duty in 2003-2004 in Iraq. First Stationed in Florida after my 9month school in Great Mistakes IL. I got into mini-truckin about 6 years ago in Jacksonville FL when a friend of mine on the ship showed me photos of him lowered S10. I started looking around and hanging with some guys in a car/truck club In Jacksonville Fl. Mainly VW minis. I Recently went on deployment with a ship needing my help in Hawaii. I was working on an engine when I slipped and fell 20 ft and shattered my L ankle. I was using crutches while in a cast. A lump formed on my right thumb. after months of Test they removed the Lump and found that it was Cancer and they had to remove my thumb and some lymph nodes to save my LIFE. But thats not why i am asking for you to Do my Truck. I'm asking because I no longer can. I don't know what to do anymore and Don't have the strength most days to get out of Bed. It wasn't until about a year ago I bought my First truck an 02 (already Bagged F150) and Then after my diagnosis a Bagged 1997 Astro VAN which I traded a guy in Freaks of Nature (who needed a Family vehicle) for a awesome 2000 GMC Sonoma. Pictures Below. I have done a Few things to it Myself. Was Nitrogen. Now on 2-480 Viair Compressors 5-Gal air tank. But it could use some TLC. New PAINT. INTERIOR. BODY DROPPED, Valves, Airline, Front end cut out and tubbed. Has 31xxx Miles on a 2.2L. I have been working on it with the help of good friends and club members. I'm about to undergo treatment and Not going to have much time for my Truck or strength it is a Daily Driver but I do have another car. I will Drive this Truck Where ever needed. I will never be Deployed again. I have lost my right thumb (dominant hand) I'm having a lot of trouble working on it let alone doing day to day things. I have No problem getting to Shows I'm not doing much for work anymore. Almost medically Retired and I have plenty of Members in my Club (SUNSET!) that will get it to shows. You're Company is more then welcome to Come get the Truck anytime as well. But I'll be there and got time. I think it would be neat to have a Switch box installed that's easier for me to Use. I fully own this Truck and would like to say Thank you to Everyone for there help on my truck over the Last Half Year. Also thank you to you guys as well for even considering doing any of this.

---------------------Sorry for not having a rendering. But my idea is Black and ReD tribal Paint with skulls and jesters in the Black ghosted in. And in the red the "RADIO FLYER" logo. Body Drop on 22" Five Spoke Rims Supercharged engine. Interior would be BLACK AND RED DASH. Black Carpet, Redone seats, Computer screen in dash with DVD and NAV. NEW SUBS AND BLOW THREW. All Rockford or Just all the same Brand. Just a few Ideas. I'm working on a Photoshop Rendering. But everything is hard to do now a days. So pretty much Black and Red pin striping. to Accent everything.-----------------------------------------------------2000 GMC Sonoma2.2L 4Cylinder31xxx MilesBaggedDUAL 480 ViAir Comp18" Chrome RimsShaved.DVD FLIPOUT. OLD JL SUBS (crap). POWER ACOUSTIC AMP for SUBS. And Rockford Fosgate for Highs and Mids.Painted Dash Tweed Seats. ----------------------=SUNSET=San DiegoMr. Glass
