Milo wasn't throwing a cheap shot..eve heard the expression "Pot calling the kettle black"!!!
My advice to Dan is to make it right...I've had deadline issues with my customers in the past...as well as a few problems unplanned problems with vehicles I've built...regardless of the price you charged, or how much you didn't make on a deal the customer is always right. I've cut what very little profit I've made off of a deal just to make up for missed deadlines. If theres an issue...fix it. I totally understand the situation Dan's in...having a full time job and running a shop on the side is hard. Customers don't always understand why you can't work a real job, have a life, and finish their truck in the same time frame as a full time shop. Which is exactly why I don't run a shop on the side anymore...I hope the author and Dan can come to an agreement about the deal. If not get it fixes then atleast come to a money agreement...threads like this aren't good for no one.
