So I got a little motivated this past weekend and decided to swap beds. I was really having a hard time trying to get these newfangled, California gas pump nozzles to work with the old-school filler assembly. A 30-minute fill up on Fridays commute home sealed the deal. I needed to swap over to the newer style before I went Postal the next time I tried to fill up.
Pulled off the old bed as soon as I got home:

It was just me and my scrawny buddy, Shaun (pictured above, doing what he does best: nothing ), so even with the loader, there was no way to manually lift off the donor bed without risking some severe damage. I was trying to figure out a safe way to remove the bed when I had this epiphany-

At this point, I was scoping out the lighting harness on the bed and I decided to swap it out for my old harness. The donor bed's harness was pretty well hacked and I didn't trust it. I also bought some fuel fill 90's from Napa and got the fuel fill assemblies hooked up and ready to go.
After some deliberation on the best way to do it, I used a come-along to slowly lower the bed down onto the truck.
