Hey I merged your new thread with your build thread, hope you don't mind.

Not at all. Danka!

Just seems easier for guys to follow a build or see how someone's vehicle got to the point it is if everything is in one spot.

So I got a little motivated this past weekend and decided to swap beds. I was really having a hard time trying to get these newfangled, California gas pump nozzles to work with the old-school filler assembly. A 30-minute fill up on Fridays commute home sealed the deal. I needed to swap over to the newer style before I went Postal the next time I tried to fill up.

Pulled off the old bed as soon as I got home:

Pulled/pushed the donor into the operating room -or- why every guy needs a tractor:

It was just me and my scrawny buddy, Shaun (pictured above, doing what he does best: nothing ), so even with the loader, there was no way to manually lift off the donor bed without risking some severe damage. I was trying to figure out a safe way to remove the bed when I had this epiphany-

The hot chick checking me out is Mrs. Campy.

Back to the depths of the yard, you Beast!

At this point, I was scoping out the lighting harness on the bed and I decided to swap it out for my old harness. The donor bed's harness was pretty well hacked and I didn't trust it. I also bought some fuel fill 90's from Napa and got the fuel fill assemblies hooked up and ready to go.

After some deliberation on the best way to do it, I used a come-along to slowly lower the bed down onto the truck.

Nice work! That's exactly how I did my second fuel pump job on a longbed shitbox...big ratchet straps hanging from garage rafters. I'd done the drop-the-tank way the time before and on a lowered truck that is ASS. Especially on a crumbling asphalt driveway.

These days I just engine crane 'em.
