Well I got my new bushings back from the machine shop. Took the 4 link back off and replaced all the urethane ones with the new solid steel ones.. Here's a couple pic's.

These babies will have no play like the urethane ones were.. 60 miles are they already had 1/4" of play..

Not anymore...... lol

They look good. I would machine a slight groove right where the grease zerk is.

Whats the reason you have so much deflection?

looks good

I've no idea really. I figured hanging the bags off the rear would give it some from trying to twist the axle.. but I never would have guessed in a matter of 60 miles it already would have 1/4".

I'm with crazy on maching in a groove of some sort, but I would look at what is causing that before I just put in steel. Going to notice a differance in noise and ride.

it's due to the bags being out a ways behind the axle. it's causing it to want to twist the axle thus causing the soft bushings to give. if they were on top of the axle it would be no deal but since the center of the bag is say 10" from the center of the axle that's alot of twisting force. I'm gonna machine a groove. I'd already thought about that. It's got antiseze in all of it to be able to get it back to my shop. I gotta finish the firewall and a whole lost of things. also thikin about sending my 24's back to twat for some custom machining while I'm at it this winter.
