Well that's interesting. In the Blood, Sweat & Gears of the Feb. '09 Street Trucks the Hill's Hot Rods '81 dually is shown bagged on 265/35-22's (which is .1 in. shorter than a 275/25-24) with the factory A/C still on, without a body drop ofcourse. Maybe it just gets real low and doesn't lay out.

Here is a pic of the C&C rear and it's new guts, including a detroit locker going off to getting rebuilt and installed.

My X-pipe kit from summit is here:

And my headers are here, I got the same Patriot Clipster headers that Ben Shady is running since they will give me the ground clearance I'm looking for.

The only thing I did not like about them was that the the ports were real rough looking:

So, I smoothed them down a little:

The C&C rear is already installed and it came out great, it even got a fresh coat of paint and new brakes. But, I can't post any new pics since it's at a shop right now getting a new rear main seal and speed sensor installed. The only other things I have done is installed a new starter since the old wan didn't want to work after it got hot and a new steering gear box since the old one was leaking. So The truck now has a rebuilt motor, trans, rear, and just about everything else. I got some suspension pieces that are on their way and after that its off to the body shop.

The beginning of more cutting to come:

I already got new shocks to install, I'm just waiting on the 3" Belltech spindles to come in so all the suspension work can get done at once. And the headers and X-pipe should be going on very soon 'cause I've got an exhaust leak @ the left manifold and this is going to be my fix. And what I thought a was rear main seal leak was just the 3 piece oil pan gasket leaking @ the rear, which was good 'cause it saved me some bucks.

Lots more room with the C&C in there, but are you going to space the wheels out so they fill up the fenders better?

Below is a pic of Ben Shady's truck. We are running the same 14 bolt C&C but he is running semi's on the inside and 20mm wider tires, so I'd say his wheels are "spaced out" about 3/4" more than mine. I think my fenders will look a little less unfilled once the truck is lower.

The new exhaust was installed today. The truck feels torquier and it sounds tough.
The right side header had to be heated and bent so it wouldn't rub on the frame and the left side header had to be heated and bent so it wouldn't rub on the motor mount and hit the oil filter, but everything came out great.

I still need to trim a little bit off of the a/c compressor bracket that sits above the header so that I can bolt it back up, but there are still two other brackets attached to the compressor so it doesn't move.

what has to be done to put the 24's on the square body as far as the rear tire (inner) thanks!!!

Nothing. Although with my C&C rear the load range E 225/75-16's I'm running on the flat black steelies are already pretty close to the leaf springs.
