That's great man!! I can't thank you enough. Such a huge help on getting this thing back on the road.

As soon as I get my new Upper arms in the mail I'll have my front suspension finished with the exception of Tig welding my lower arms. Thank again Down2Earth for kicking me your extra upper arms. A huge help on this thing for sure.

I've got a guy coming tomorrow to look at buying the donor truck after I get my engine, trans, cab lights, and seats out of it. If he buys it I'll have to get it stripped and I'll start getting the Cummins in the dually since I'll already be puled out.

I did drive the donor dodge to Springfield this weekend to pick the trailer up. While on the way up I finished off 2 of my valve cover gaskets. Luckily I found an entire set of new Fel-pro valve cover gaskets and got them all put on and sealed back up. So other than an oil change and some degreasing the Cummins is ready to go in the chevy as soon as I get it pulled.

I can't wait!!!

What about the killer dowel pin, don't forget that.

It's supposed to have already been done by the guy that built the engine. I'm gunna double check it while I'm into anyway. It would suck to lose a $5k engine over a .50 dowel pin.
On the way home tonight with a nice sized load behind the donor truck and the trans started slipping. I babied it the rest of the way home to find that there is trans fluid hemoraging between my engine and trans. I'm guessing the seal around the converter or something converter related let go. Shit sucks. Hopefully it's not to serious of an issue.
It did cover everything under the truck in trans fluid in the process. This is the exact reason I want to drive the donor before yanking the engine and trans. I'd be pissed if that would have been my freshly assembled dually with everything covered in oil.
I did manage to get the trailer back home though so I can get the dually hauled back to the shop. As soon as it gets there we're going to finish the suspension and get the engine fitted up.

Nope I haven't gotten them yet. Maybe they'll come in tomorrow. I've never tried to swap out the shafts before but I think I can handle that. I can't thank you enough for hooking me up with these things man.

Hell ya man that would be awesome!! That's 1 less than I have to get before I can put this thing back on the road. All of my ball joints, idler arm, and tie rod ends have to be replaced on this thing. It still has all of the factory parts on it right now. They are so wore out. I just got the arms this morning. I'm gunna try to get them put on tonight if it ever cool down. It has been so hot here lately. As soon as I get the arms on I'm gunna start tearing the donor truck down for all my parts. I can't wait.
