I made sure everything had plenty of movement. My lowers are really close to the crossmember area around where they bolt up, but they clear. The uppers on the other hand were hitting on the back off the arm and had to be trimmed to get enough travel out of them. I just made a couple of notches with a grinding wheel and their freely moving now.

Anyone have an extra set of stock upper they would be willing to sell?? I'm not to happy with the way mine are coming out so I'd like to just start over on an untouched set. I thought about making a set but I think I'm going to finish up some of the other stuff before I put any more work load on myself.

I tried to find some 1/4" 2x4 to make my notch out of and none of the steel place around this area any where seem to have any. Not sure who bought it all up but it's quite annoying. So while every where is waiting for a new shipment of steel to come in I had a sheet of 3/16" plate laying around. I got all of the side plates cut out with the plasma tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I can get it all welded on. It's definitely not a permanent notch it's just to weak but it'll work for the rest of mock up and initial assembly and save me a couple hundred bucks that can go toward my steering or something more useful for right now. I'll post up some pix as soon as I get time to weld it all on. As soon as its on there all my rear air ride can go on. Hopefully by the end of the week the rear suspension will be done also.

I'm going to try and use the dodge rear end before its all said and done. Their both Dana 70's. The dodge rear end is just a couple inches narrower and it has about 3:73 gears and a locker instead of 4:11 and no locker. As for the speed sensor that's another reason I was so glad I got this truck. 1996 and earlier the speed sensor should be in the tail shaft of the trans. I'm still gunna try and use the dodge rear end though. I've gotta do some looking at some point and see if I can find the width difference. I'm hoping it's narrow enough I won't have to put any width in my dual fenders for semi wheels like a CC axle.

That would be the shit on those arms. Just let me know about what the ride will cost on them if ya can. My zip code 64804 or give me a weight on them when ya get a chance and your zip code. Thanks a lot homie. I got a little cut happy when I was pie cutting mine.

Gunna try to get this mock up notch put on this evening. The Z for this truck is obviously going to be pretty tall since I cut the bottom of the frame for the BD. the overall hieght is about 21" for a 17" notch using 4" wide steel stock.

Well my notch has been put on hold for now. No steel shop in my area has any 1/4" 2x4 in stock. Their all waiting on shipments to come in and they all said it would be a couple of weeks. So I called a steel shop in my little bros town and they have plenty. I got on the horn to him and he's supposed to go pick me up another 10 or 20 feet. That should be enough to finish the chassis and suspension.Just not sure when I'll actually be able to go pick it up. Another member here shot me a PM and offered to hook me up with some steel stock from his machine shop. Hopefully I'll get it pretty quick and get this thing wrapped up. I'm ready to be posting up pix of this thing leaving a spark trail down the interstate!!
