We had to redo the bag mounts up front. They had some crappy generic bags in the front mounted to some plate on the lower arm, the bag was rubbing the lower arm and nearly wore through, upper cups were out of a 99-06 chevy and they had an inch of spacers to take up slack, they didn't have the spring cups cut out, etc. We did a basic spring pocket eliminator setup and threw in some new 2600lb dominators as well as install our new 444s and run all our lines and wiring inside the rails. We also got a new bed to cut up.

That's bad ass man. One day next week I'm gunna have to make it out there and check out the progress. I wish I could get that much done in a day. It's basically just me working on my truck. My little brother helps me when he can but he's never built a truck before so he doesn't know where to dive in at.

This isn't really much of an update but I figured I'd post a couple pictures of the firewall and tubs after it got completed. Even with that big tub I had to notch the corner of it for the tire to have clearance. I'm trying to do all I can to increase my ability to turn with the truck riding low. I could only turn the wheel a couple inches before the tub unless it was all the way aired up. Now I can turn it full lock to lock and have firewall clearance. Just have to be careful with front fender clearance now.
If you look closely you can see where I had to notch the lower corner out. I just used a piece of 18ga sheet metal and put a bend in it on the metal brake. I kept bending it a little and than moving it outward so the bend has a kind of rounded shape running into the tub instead of a really sharp corner. I thought a super sharp corner would look cheap or funny or something being so close to the big sloping rounded wheel tub.

Just kind of an overview from a distance to give you guys all an idea of the bigger picture.

Well this maybe a little off topic from the Dually but I won't have an update on it for a while so I figured why not.
I had a guy wanting to trade me a bagged and bodied Mazda. He was wanting a newer lifted dodge truck I had and we just never could come to a deal on it. Well a month later I run into him again and we start talking and it turns out he wants an old V8 S-10 blazer I've got. I didn't mind that deal so I picked the Mazda up today. It's an old school build and is in need of repair and updating for sure but it runs like a top and already has the ground work laid out with the bags and body drop. I think ill be able to handle the rest at my house whenever I'm not able to make it to the Dually.

I had a show to go to this weekend in Springfield called Queen City riot. It was alright but most importantly I finally got the cab ready to come back off of the Dually so I can get it finished up and back on for the last time.
I took this picture at the show for you guys lol

The only things I had left to finish on the cab was the drivers side tub and a new power steering reservoir mount. I had made one out of some 1/4" solid round stock but it just wasn't strong enough. It wouldn't have made it 50 miles before it broke.
This time we put a slight bend in some solid 1/2" or 3/4" square stock and made it bolt under the brake master cylinder and made a mount for it to bolt to the reservoir. Should be a lot more solid now.

I got a new job and haven't had much time to work on the Dually for the last month or two. I think I'm finally going to have sometime on it again now that everything is kinda settling down again. After I get the cab off we have to pull the cummins and cut 2" out of the oil pan. Set up the 4 link and paint everything and put it all back together for the last time. Finally the finally assembly is in sight.

Hey thanks man.

I'm back at the shop right now. Hopefully I'll have an actually update on the dually tomorrow. Finishing all of the little things have been killing me lately so there hasn't really been anything worth making an update out of for a long time. Hopefully in the morning we'll make some real progress again now that all of the terrible little stuff is wrapped up.
I tend to start things and than move onto another area when just the little boring stuff is left on that area lol. Bear with me and I'll get some more pix and updates worth a crap rolling again before long. I'm hoping to have it at least back on the road this year before winter. Not sure if that's realistic with the amount of work I have left and putting in a minimum of 55 hours a week at work but we'll see.

I remember seeing your build on another forum when I got the itch to do a 6bt swap and started looking for a project truck. Looking good so far. Keep it up man
