yea, prep the area on the back side of the panel where the damage is, lay your resin and matte there to reinforce the area, then prep the area on the front, grind out the cracks to allow resin to get deep into the repair to bond at the base of the damage, a couple thin layers of matte over the top of that, smooth it out, and you're ready to skim it with mud
