looks cool but the only issue i can see is with it being squared off at pivot point. the trailer wont turn as much as the original picture.....hate to see you high side it because the trailer binds up in a turn

You are right on the money! Very good eyes. After I took this picture I went back out to the shop and tried to swing it and like you said ran into the interference issue. It was actually the first time I had it all together as an assembly. So I will redo the hitch portion to make sure it does not contact the cooler. Simple fix.

High siding can lead to very bad things on a ride!

Once I get this trailer done I can't wait to see if it can handle some of the single track we ride.

glad i wasnt out of line in my post......i used to love trail riding and could see how a trailer like this could be of great use.....but thanks to a drunk driver giving me a titanium knee with a shin full of plates and screws my dirtbike days are over.....quads are all i can handle now. cant wait to see your finished product and hear about the first test ride!

Sorry I have not been doing any work on my truck in a while. I got a chance of a life time to go ride Baja on my dirt bike with Johnny Campbell and Cameron Steele. So I took a bunch of time off and got ready for that ride, what a blast! Now it is time to get back into the shop and continue the build... As soon as I get some updates I will post the pics. All of the recent builds have really kept me inspired to get my ride done.

When I get on the front end I want to ask those that have modified their trucks what they feel worked and did not work.

Here is a list of what I want to do:
1. Drop spindle 3"
2. SRW disc brakes
3. 3800 series bags (have them on the shelf waiting)

Note: I have the front end available off my 3/4 burb donor. That means I can use that setup instead of the 1 ton. Any thoughts???

Questions:
1. If you Z'd your ride what issues did you run into? How far did you drop it?
2. If you run the SRW discs then how much did you lengthen both your A-Arms?
3. Drop spindle??? What brand are you running? Any issues with it?
4. Anything I should stay away from to keep it simple stupid...???
5. What else am I missing guys?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Good question I am slowly doing my 91 square body CC and I would also like to keep upper and lower front....

Got a little done today. Took the gas tank and the hard lines out of the donor burb. Messy job but it had to be done. At least I have the correct fuel pump and fuel system for the donor 454 up front. That alone is going to save me a ton of time and MONEY!

I am going to put the tank behind the kick up. I have got some cutting and welding of the frame to do to make it sit perfectly level. That should be fairly straight forward. Then I am going to start to run the hard lines in the picture below.

My plan is to raise the floor of the bed to accommodate the tank and the kick up. I do not want a bump over the kick up. Plus it gives me an area forward that I can make into a storage area under the front of the floor. From my initial measurements today I think I can eliminate the inner fender wells and make it a completely flat floor.

1. 4"s, I measured twice but I still ended up welding the front horns back on low. Once I put the front clip back on the core support body mounts hovered 1/2" over my frame rails. Easy fix just annoying. Lower rad hose and center tie rod clearance were and issue on my Cummins. Two piece steering shaft, trans tunnel mods, driveshaft clearance.... the list goes on and on.
2. 3/4ton SRW discs, Lowers +3" uppers +2 1/2" and pie cut ball joints
3. No drop spindles
4. There is nothing simple about laying frame or rocker, but it looks Awesome!
5. you'll find out once you get into it.

Thanks for all the info! I have enjoyed watching your build.
I think I plan on using the drop spindles and see if I can get away with not Z'ing the frame.
