I wouldn't bolt the two link to the spring perches like that. There's so much stress on that point with a two link it will snap off those bolts if not destroy the perch first, I'd u-bolt them in.

I think that is what I am going to do now. Thanks Monster Kustomz!

I have changed my mind on the rear end and have decided to go to a 4 link instead. Yeah I know, but once I got the 2 link all in and mocked up there was just not enough flexibility in the system and I don't want to break parts once I get this truck on the road. So I will order some new heim joints and get to work on fabbing up some new link arms and brackets. Once I get some more work done I will post some new pics.

i was thinking aout a trailerarm setup myself , its simple and the twistresistance might be enough so i dont need a rearswaybar

Fundamentally that is what I have today. The issue is that you need some twist about the drive centerline or else you will twist the frame. A four link is simple and allows more independent movement. In the end I was being lazy and taking the easy way out, and the more I thought about it I should have done a 4 link from the start.

Really liking your build! Great pics and there needed for a dummy like me. You should call it bag your dually for dummies, LOL! Anyway kidding aside, the build is looking great and would like to see it when its finished!

I got out to the shop after church today and got the upper bag mounts welded up. OK I have to admit it I have been a bum lately. Doing more dirt bike riding than building on the truck. Hard to say no to the Honda. I know I have to get the rear end completed so I can work on the front end and get this truck on the road.

I need to order the Heim joints for the four link and go by the steel shop and pick up the tubing. Before I can do that I need to get the bars welded in for the bridge and do the finish welding on the balance of the rear end. A cruddy job but there you have it...

Hope everyone's builds are going well. Keep the pictures coming they keep me motivated!

Got some additional work done tonight. This is the best Monday therapy ever. I got the cross braces cut tonight and the rear one welded in, the front one is only tacked in for now, but I will get it finished up tomorrow.

One more piece done on my checklist.
