75 Dually Project - 22s and stylin

wow! stumbled onto this! im glad one of my trucks actually went to someone who is doing something with it! glad your enjoying it so far man!

My plasma cutter went on the fritz, but i got a new one and got it back on line today. So I put it to good use and trying to get back on track with my dually project. Today I got the rear box plates cut out and tacked in. I also cut out the driver side mounting tabs for the watts link. So I can now call the watts link done!!!

Tomorrow I am going to start on the front box plates. Then it is on to the cross bars, air bag mounts, and then on to all the finish welding on the rear end. Lots of work ahead, but that is the fun part!

What would you charge to built a couple of those links for my tie rods? Mine look like poop.

First of all I would not use what I have on this watts link as tie rods. There are a lot of tougher tie rods heim joints on the market.

Here is what I would do. Go out and find the highest spec heim joints you can find. Then go on ebay and get a couple sets. That is the cheapest place I have found to get them. Then go to your local steel supply house and get the recomended chromemoly steel tubing for those heim joints. Then go to a local certified welder and have him tig weld them up. Tons cheaper than what I would charge, and you will be able to make everything perfect in your end of the world. Hope that helps!

Not a bad idea. I have heims on it already but the bars look bad.

I have been working on the truck a little here and there. Work has still been super busy, but that is what pays the bills!
