Yeah, exactly right, kind of like a fridge except deeper indentations. (If you have a textured fridge.)

Ok today I applyed the other coat of POR15 covering EVERYTHING I could on the back half.

Here are some pics:

I also had a tonne of extra paint left so I painted the frame rails.

Here are some close ups of the finish:

DRY:

WET:

And here is my arm after painting.

Oh and by the way, THIS PAINT WILL NOT COME OFF SKIN! I wore arm length gloves and still managed to get covered in it. ?In the pic above that is after scrubbing my arm with varsol. God I hurt alot now! On the package it says it will ONLY come off with time...

Also, I have only used 1 can! For all of the areas in the pics above I only used one can and have not touched the other. I also had a few tablespoons left over so I just recoated a few areas.

What do you guys think?

Well if anyone else wants the other can from me I will sell it at my cost. You see above how much it covers... I don't need the second lol.

how much shipped?

It would be $67.50 + shipping. It was 134 somethiong for the two so 135 / 2 = $67.5... I will check shipping later.

Ok... Worked basically all day today. Finally got the stupid gas tank in. Had to drill a couple new mounting holes but it is finally in there. Then we ended up cutting the breather box (that stupid black thing) off the top and a few other things to make it simple and basically the exact same as the old tank. After fixing the plug which was leaking we filled it up and it was fine.

Then we got the shocks bolted up (needed more washers for them) and bolted on my new wheels. They look awesome especially with the painted drums. Here are some pics:

Now we did get the truck running and it ran ok after the smoke cleared but then we realized it was stalling cause it had no power. I knew the alternator was pooched before but now I was sure. Luckily I had bought a spare for $20 just to last me for the mean time until I get a high power one for a stereo. We figure we will switch it and take her for a drive. We finally get the new one in and give her a go and all we hear is massive sqeeling! My dad said it might do that if the belt were too tight or too loose so we change it and it still does it. After getting ice cream we decide to give it one more go. This time my freind was standing right over it and sees sparks shooting out. So yeah... I got ripped... I guess I will get a rebuilt one for like $140 but all and all it did go well today.

Also I am having a problem with my door. We screwed around with the lock cause it wasnt working right and now we have the door locked (but not shut) and no matter what the lock tab or the key lock will turn or even move. Something is screwed up. Any idea how to release the door pin so I can fool around with it more to try and get it working?

Thanks,
Zac

Edit:

Oh, btw, I do have a brand new set of 24 lug nuts but I'm gonna wait to switch them till after my truck is ready for the road.

you'll have to manual unlock the door. just dont pinch your finger if you plan on using that, lol
