Well heres some pics of the truck finally for the most part together. There are a few minor things to hook up like the electric rad fan and some various other items but it is in potential running order. We now have determined that we have spark, we checked the gauge on the carb and there is fuel making it up to the gauge but it wont ignite. It sends some nice little bursts of smoke out of the carb but still wont fire. After attempting to get it running for a while my starter got wrecked, a very small 1" long wire that is about 4 gauge ended up just breaking because of the age of the wire. I pulled the one from the parts truck but it has the same problem. I attempted to solder it a bit but the solder wont take because there is rustproofing on both of the wires. If I try to remove the rustpoofing the wires just crumble and you cannot replace it. It connects straight to the magnets inside of it. So anyways, I will be getting yet another new part. Any ideas on what might be causing the motor to not run or what I can check to determine the problem.
Heres a breif list of the parts I have replaced on the truck now just so I can try to keep track.
Rad Support (New)
Alternator (New)
Gas Tank (used)
Sending Unit (New)
Rear Shocks (New)
Electric Fan conversion (Basically New)
After market Headers (Basically New)
Fully Rebuilt top and bottom end of motor
Bed (used)
Roll Pan
Exhaust 2.5" front to back with cat and muffler. (Basically new)
I know there are other things but nothing else that is fairly expensive.
Anyways, here are the pictures:
I was supposed to paint a few of the parts at my work color matched but ended up not doing it just so I could get it together. This truck is not meant to be a show truck. Merely just a restored B2200. For now. You will also notice the grounds in the picture which I figured I would put in before everything was in. There is five 4g grounds all with copper ends soldered and shrink wrapped on.
Hope I didn't miss anything.
