OMG... My brother took the camera so I can't show you guys..
I have looked at both the tanks for a while. The only difference I see is this. Yes one has a fuel pump. If I bypass it it would mean it would go in the tank and into the filter. All seems good, on the old tank it goes in and then to a filter. Now, my problem is this, the newer one as a filter bag kind of on the end.
HA, I found a pic of basically what is on the new one:
Notice below the fuel pump there is a little bag (To the left) That is the filter on the new tank.
On the old tank it has kind of a metal cylinder that sits on the bottom of the tank.
My question now is, can I use the one in the new tank or do I have to switch them?
A problem is that the new tank has a little kind of pan in the bottom of the tank that holds fuel around the bag. If I switch them it will be sucking the fuel from in a pan and it only sucks from the bottom, bag sucks all around so it maybe restricted.
What do you all think?
Zac
Edit:
Now that I think of it, in my old tank that type of filter might act as kind of a footvalve that stops the gas from running out of the lines, otherwise the truck would have to reprime every time. In the new one the pump is at the end of the line so it acts as its own footvalve. Make sense?
