PO in b.c. can pull over any vehicle at anytime to check registration and insurance.

found that out from my rcmp friend today.

Makes sense, because what if for some reason the vehicle or driver are somewhat suspicios looking? They should be able to pull the vehicle over and check things out to make sure it's all in order.

Here,if you get a 10 day temproary travel permit (if your car is unplated because you just bought it or can't get plated because it still needs to hae an emission test done or for whatever reason),cops can pull you over here just to check if it is still valid. They used to have them where the make/model/year/owner name and address were all written on the back,so if you had two or more of the same vehicle, you could swap the 10 day around and no one would be the wiser...I did that with my Contours...they were both green '95's,lol

Now,they've changed them where it only has the vehicle VIN printed on them, which is smart.

DAMAZ, your wrong, its not illegal to pull over a vehicle to check the ownership and insurance. police have every right to stop you to verify that your registration is valid.

CRAZYMIKEY, the blue underglow lights are not illegal to have, any underglow lights are illegal IF they are not solid, by "solid" i mean they are not aloud to flash.
also the blue signals are illegal, along with the blue reverse lights,, and for good reason, the signal lights on a car are used to caution people that you are attempting to make a turn, caution colours are red or amber, therefore those colours are designated for signals.
as for the reverse lights, those are on your car/truck so you and other people can see where your reversing, and blue is not as bright as clear.

as for the spoilers and tint and sticker laws and whatnot, theres no list for them, or for other modifications. its up to the officers discretion, if he or she feels it obstructing the driver or other drivers on the road, then you can get ticketed

if anyone wants to argue these, or has questions about the highway traffic act, feel free to post them because i went to college to be a cop and im currently in the interview process to be one.(right now im a private investigator)

oh and i found an older version of the B.C. traffic act online

i hope this works, its part of B.C.s act

No they cannot.....they they can freeley run your plates at will, which they do regularly, but they cannot detain you for an insurance check....if the plates are valid and the car matches those plate, and is not reported stolen they cannot pull you over....

yup.I knew about the coloured intermittent accessory lights,so whereas solid underglow is actually legal,if it has the flashing or strobing functions,it is illegal...if used ON the road. Um,when my friend was cited for blue signals, the officer told him you can only have amber or white (clear) on the front of a vehicle, and amber or red only on the rear.
