Bible facts - for info only

a question, not a stab.. but who is to define the quality and of our lives if we ourselves are not able? i dont have the ability to allow someone else to judge or decide a fate for me just because of a perceived standard that i may or may not meet. i believe that it is a lack of belief in one's self which leads to the allowance of damnation by anyone but themselves. perhaps if these people used some of this willpower they so willingly divugle into someone like "christ" and put it into themselves, this world may progress at a better rate.

In other words, if I were more confident in my own abilities I wouldn't need God? (I answered this "need" question previously, so I'm asking if this is what you mean.)

Aw,shit.The New Testament (Gospels) were written by Jesus' disciples.His homeys,his bros , his tribe.They all hung out,they all shared experiences,they all talked to each other.When me and my tribe get together,we have a common bond of history and experiences >We sit around and drink brewski's and relive stuff.Of course the writers of the New Testament say the same things,they were all there for goodness sakes.And the tale keeps getting bigger and better with each telling.Read the Bible ,study it,it has good lessons in it--but so does the Koran ,the Tibetan Book of the Dead,the Kama Sutra,Chairman Mao's Little Red Book ,Beowulf,,the Aeneid and just about every other worthwhile piece of writing that comes from someone of intellect.Im off this thread--makes my head hurt.BJ

The point was though, they weren't together when it was written. They were on 4 different pieces of land 100's of miles apart, yet they all atest to the same Jesus, some of the same miracles, His death and ressurection, etc. So it's not like me and you getting together, hanging out and deciding, "ok I'm gonna say this about Him, you say that, etc. etc."
