thx guys!

oh, forgot to mention in the last post i got
some Qa1 coilovers for the rear, so they will
be on it in the next pics....

I know how every one likes pics so I figured I'd put a couple more up of my progress (even though I haven't made much progress)
I don't have the qa1's on it yet, but I got 2 of the 4 shoes on it today, probably would have gotten all 4 on, but while I was doing the front, I had to put a dust boot on my front shock, & flipped my ball joint....there aren't any calipers on it in the pics, I've got some new ones ordered and they should be here next week, the seals were gone on all of the old ones....

thx bro! it has been a while since I got a chance to actually get out in the garage & work on it, hopefully I'll get the other axle shaft in the rear, and the driver's side front hub on tomorrow, and can roll it out of the garage and hose some of the dust off that has collected on it

I got all of the wheels on, and the coilovers in the rear! I didn't get a chance to roll it out of the garage for a bath, the honeydo list played interference lol, maybe next weekend

here is pic of the front ride height with it on the ground, no motor in the bay yet, so it will sit down a little lower once it gets in there

Now I am really getting anxious to see this thing!

I like how the rear sway bar is set in there. When I used to autocross my truck (before it became a show truck) I had a custom made (hacked) rear sway bar that worked OK. Problem I had was not enought weight in the rear or the stock front bar was just not stiff enough. Would lift the inside rear tire on hard cornering.

Back in the day I tryed to make a rear sway bar work in my truck.

me too!! you used to autocross your show truck??? I would have loved to have seen some of that action!!

it is a bell tech, and i have the matching one in the front, it is like 1 1/8", and the rear is 3/4"....the only prob i have with it is where it mounts to the frame, i have about 2" between the hanger and the leafspring, last night before I put the coilovers in, i could stand on the hitch and bounce up & down, and it would almost bottom out.....I may have to shorten the bolt, take out one of the bushings, and modify the hanger to shorten it up some......the rear was real soft without the co's, once i put them it it stiffened it up a good bit, but not too hard, with the swaybar & the angle of the co's i figure it will corner like its on rails.....
