I would have to agree with the shaved door handles thing. I drove my Ranger for 5 1/2 years with shaved doors. I shaved mine inside and out. The poppers had a one year warranty and in five and a half years I never had one that lasted a year. But mine too was my daily. I did have a way to get in and out when they went bad. I left my key locks on the door and hooked the rod up to the latch. So I was able to pop the door with the key. But I looked pretty stupid rolling the window down in the rain to let myself out of the truck.

But that wasn't my biggest regret. That would be when I did the convertible.

I wish I never did the For Sale sign in the window mod.

Woah! Does that mean you are selling the truck?

...I haven't had a Mazda truck since October 2009. Last one I had was an '82 B2000, which I only had for about 2 weeks.

Though, I do regret selling Kermit. Still had a lot of plans for it, but with the way things worked out, I'd still have gotten rid of it anyways.

Haha yeah that's right man, I had a lapse of brain power there a minute. I was thinking Mazdawg Mikey lol.

Always did think you shouldn't have gotten rid of either of your trucks man, I loved'm both. Thought you had a creative vision for how you did both of them.

One day I'd still like to build another, but take the time and do it right. Makes it hard when it's a daily driver. I faced all sorts of issues when I built Kermit because it was daily driver and I couldn't have it out of commission for more than a weekend at a time.

When I had the 82 B2000 I was working on, I actually completely lost ambition and interest in it after having it sitting in the garage for months and making no progress on it. 5 years I'd searched for one, and I found my holy grail of Mazda trucks and then after a few months I just wanted nothing to do with it. I suppose being in the middle of the winter didn't help much, or the fact that I ended up buying a Honda Accord and focusing my attention more on that.

Currently I've wandered back to the tuner scene. I haven't done much with my Mazda 3. It feels almost too new to mod it, even though it's an '05. I'm looking to refinance and sell it this summer and get a 94-96 Subaru WRX sedan, or a RHD Nissan Silvia S13 K's Edition with an SR20 swap.

Fully understand bro, and completely get the daily driver/weekend thing. I'm putting together parts to bag mine late this winter, so it'll be a weekend thing bagging one end and and hopefully just another bagging the other end. We'll see how it goes, but I should have some very experienced help helping me out with it.

what i hated about the mods to my old daily was def shaved doors and no wipers and no heater and the damn ragtop even tho it saved a few busted windows lol but i love havin air ride for a daily i run 3/8 valves with 1/2inch line its perfect for speed but i would def nixx on the shaved handles and wipers lol and u dont realize how nice a defroster is when it rains or freezes and you gotta hang your head out the window when its 15 degreese outside so u can see

I regretted that one on a couple of my dailies also.
