I drove my truck across the states when I first got it, from California to Florida and back! I was 16 with a fresh license and a free B2200 I got from my uncle. My buddy and I wanted to visit some friends that moved away. We saved up and spent 2 months driving across, up, down, multiple side trips/ dirt roads that looked fun . I think overall I put down around 8,000 miles on that trip alone! It was the single best trip of my life. The truck ran great! No A/C or power steering at the time, but I did finish the sound system right before the trip so that made up for the suffering heat. haha. I ran about 28mpg.
I wasn't really planning on keeping the truck for very long, but after that trip I was in LOVE! its been 10 years and its still running strong.
Nowadays it goes 10 miles a day or so (work and back), but the majority my family is in so-cal and I now live in the East Bay (Californa) for the last 3 years so. In total I have driven it down and back about 15-20 times and clocking in at about 800 miles round trip. Plus it was my primary truck for when I moved all my stuff up, 3 or 4 trips LOADED. That drive requires going over the grape vine where I have to floor it in 4th going up the mountain pass. With the exhaust I have it SCREAMS up the mountain, no problems whining out 4th gear to around 4grand just to get up to 65-70mph for about 15-20 min straight! and that's without a load every time I worry that it is going to grenade going through the pass but it holds strong every time.
