heater showed up today!!!! But i was kinda upset becaue it specicifally said that it could be hooked up to a 20 lb bottle. But i came with hookups for the 100 lb bottle...which wouldnt bother me if i already had a bigger bottle. But at 130 bucks just to buy the bottle?...not happening... So i went to menards and found the right adapter so its gonna be toasty in the garage tonight!!!!

new motor....had to swap those around

I thought about eliminating that adapter just for the fact that its just another place for oil to leak. But i decided against it.

Just a couple pics of parts swapped onto the new motor.

so just a few more pics of everything coming together.

a little paint on the valve cover for fun...i painted the oil pan too...not that i really car what the oil pan looks like but did it more for protection against the elements.

Motor back in. Yeah...took me forever to get it situated right. I had it in and out of the engine bay three times. Couldn't get the motor and tranny to slide together. Thought the clutch disc wasnt aligned just right. I was wrong. Anyone wanna guess what i did wrong? im hoping im not the only one who did it.

Pretty new header installed. Gonna be kinda loud till i get it down to the shop to get the rest of it done underneath.

And this will probably be the last picture in this thread...unless you guys wanna see pics of all the new hose clamps, heater hose, and that kinda stuff. At this point all i got left is tighten the belt, get the dizzy in right(gotta get an oring for it) , hook up the battery, fill and "burp" the coolant system and ill be ready to go!! Hopefully be done tomorrow.

well...ran through the break in and it purrs like a kitten..well...kinda like a tiger right now. Gotta get it down to the shop and get the exhaust on and thats about all. Gonna go back out in a few hours and check valve clearance, re-torque head bolts an change the oil.
Glad to be done.
