I looked at that route too. I think you should be ok. The route is still going sideways, just in a different spot. The metal to cut out is really thin and easy to cut. You could just use a drill bit and drill a bunch of small holes in a 3" diameter and punch it out with a hammer. with a 2.75"-3" hole, you can use the original wiring grommet.

On a side note, if you go that route, try and find a 3" plug to fill the hole with. It allows a lot of motor noise into the cab if you don't.

I would but I lost a bunch of tools. When I moved out our expert landlord was being a douche and pretty much tossed everything! (I know I can sue him but I'm so done even talking to him for right now!!!) so I have no drill I only have a few lil tools in a single toolbox left... I think I'm gonna try to use those holes I posted up...
