If you're looking to go static then this is what I would do. 3 inch blocks in the tear with one leaf removed from the leaf pack. Then add a rear sway bar. Then get a mini in frame notch. As for the front lower it by indexing the torsions to match the rear ride height and then cut out the bumpstops and get shorter shocks all the way around. You'll have a nice riding low stanced ride that hugs corners.

We'll here is an update. I know it's been a while, but I figured I would fill you all in. The engine was rebuilt by my father and I, now everything is back in except some hoses. I ordered the weber carb from eBay (webercarbsdirect) for $230 and the pacesetter header for $140 from autopartswarehouse.com. So that will be installed soon. Pictures will follow just because I know you all like those. Anyone looking for a stock carb?

I'd be interested if one still needs to grind down the adapter plate to fit around the hose from the valve cover tot he manifold, or if that has finally been re-engineered.

Hectron: also check to make sure that the adpter surfaces are absolutely flat; if not, sand down on a piece of glass covered by fine wet/dry, then clean well. Remember to torque everything correctly, and use a thin film of Permatex on the gaskets.

Cusser it looks like I will still need to round off the edge to fit the hose. I greatly appreciate the help. I'm guessing the wet/dry is a sand paper? Good idea using the glass as a flat surface. I'm going to look up the best write up on the install now so I can get it installed ASAP. Maybe I'll be able to find a picture of everything I can nix after the new carb is in.

You will need.to buy an assortment of cap.off, unless you wanna grind them.off and weld them gone on your manifold (intake) everything but the big charcoal canister on passenger side inner fender can go. I have a few pics i can post later on in this thread to help you. Also an egr block off plate will be needed.

Also not to thread jack. But does anyone reading this know of anyone making theae on this forum?
