All of the content for the forum should still be there, the information should be saved on the server that K6 is using.

It can't be that much, but it sounds fishy and weird. Because you literally have 30 days to reclaim it!

Just thinking out loud here. If I have to sell my house to get MT back then I can't help for that huge sum of money. It'll be interesting to see if the members will donate to buy it back if we all sent money order. Something like a club membership to be a part of and have an ownership somewhat.

Just my two cents

My question is since it's "so cheap" what happened that the domain wasn't renewed?

If money was needed I'm sure some would have helped, it would have been a ton cheaper to do it then than after it was lost.

Also, I sent K6 an Email and it bounced so I think it might be more than just the domain name gone wrong.

In any event, too bad I liked that sight and a lot of people put in a lot of effort to make that site what it was! Dan

K6 E-mail address I had was through mazdatruckin, so likely that would be shut down as well. I did send message to Dan Atkins though.

I did a WHOIS search on it and it just expired on January 13th. According to WHOIS, it's still owned by Kyrasis Productions, Kenneth Richards. I checked on all this because I was going to see if it could be bought. So all he needs to do is just renew the domain name.

Maybe K6 is just tired of running the thing?

I didn't realize how popular that site was. I followed a few threads on there, but I post all my personal projects on this forum.

Letting domain names expire is just one of those things that happens... it happened to the Dallas Cowboys not that long ago: Cowboys suffer domain name failure at the worst possible time

Another one: Foursquare Raises $10 Million in Funding, Forgets To Renew Domain Name

Anyhoo yes I am hurtin without MT, but I guess I better settle in and get comfortable around here. I have questions. About flare wrenches.

Ouch, how the heck can the cowboys "forget"... LOL If Ken is tired I wonder if some one else will step up?

Flare Wrenches, what a great invention!!! What did you want to know, they are used fro things like brake line nuts or anything where you can get a standard box wrench around.
