The owner kept driving the 1991 B2600i after having a oil cooler coolant hose split........got pretty hot, so they told me.
I just rebuilt this engine a year & a half ago.......re-used the oil cooler hoses at that time.......should have bought new ones! It will have all new coolant hoses this time!
Head is warped.......about .015" feeler gauge can slip in between the head & a straight edge at the center of the head........FSM say's .006" is the max, so this new head is going to the machine shop tomorrow to get straightened & milled flat again.
The head is one of the "new" castings from Clearwater Cylinder Heads, which is supposed to be a bit more crack resistant.......I guess it is, since there are no cracks in the combustion chambers! He got lucky on this one!
