What are you doing/did you do today?

This weekend I replaced my hot tub heater, planted some tomatoes and peppers in the garden, did the tank and front brakes on the B, and hung out with friends.

The owner kept driving the 1991 B2600i after having a oil cooler coolant hose split........got pretty hot, so they told me.

I just rebuilt this engine a year & a half ago.......re-used the oil cooler hoses at that time.......should have bought new ones! It will have all new coolant hoses this time!

Head is warped.......about .015" feeler gauge can slip in between the head & a straight edge at the center of the head........FSM say's .006" is the max, so this new head is going to the machine shop tomorrow to get straightened & milled flat again.

The head is one of the "new" castings from Clearwater Cylinder Heads, which is supposed to be a bit more crack resistant.......I guess it is, since there are no cracks in the combustion chambers! He got lucky on this one!

I epoxied the drive gear under the blender jar on my 2009-purchased $20 margarita blender, fixed four closet doors (made my own glides/guides from 1/4 inch craft plywood, parts not available locally).

I also watched the Pirates beat the Mets. Rode my bicycle to Home Depot once, and to Ace Hardware twice. It was about 104F here today, went in the pool, Mrs. Cusser cooked all four of us dinner.

Oh......while I was playing mechanic, my wife cooked BBQ ribs on the grill, shucked some corn and cooked it, made some home-made potato salad, and we ate until we were stuffed! After a couple of hours, she brought me a dish with home-made carrot cake and some vanilla ice cream in it!

It's good to be a mechanic around here......

swapped over my new suspension stuff from my 86 to my 87. disappointed in my lower ball joints, 0 miles on them installed a couple months ago, and the rubber boot is already ripped

Also swapped other stuff, like my Subaru SVX seats and my Pilot wooden steering wheel.

New engine into the silver B today and painted the bay. Sunburnt as fuck!

Been workin on the b wired in the gauges I got and almost have the interior buttoned up emjay do you have a thread to how yiu went about installing the svx seats?i just got some myself

Let's see, put up a privacy fence in the back yard, and put some more work into the mazda's rear suspension. About time to start running air lines (and fuel lines).

Installed my electric cooling fan in a non permanant way. I lol'd ay my wiring. Using a relay and done it proper, running iit on manual control right now, but nowhere was open last night when i needed a switch sovi have 2 wires running from the hood to my dash that i connect together when i want the fan on lol.
