Right, the Clinton book does not have relay location or ac wiring schematic either. So I stopped to research that.
Scotch, you got a link for the ac wire color/routing and relay location?

The relay should be on the fender near the battery and fuse block. It's square shaped and had a rubber cover over it - may or may not still be there today.

It's not the metal covered one that is on the bracket immediately below the fuse block, behind the battery. That one is the Fuel Injection main relay.

When you look at the diagram, you will see that the ECM has two wires that are looking for ground - 17 through the defrost switch, pushbutton, and then the fan switch, and 19 through the fan switch. Once it see ground on both, then it closes the relay. So maybe you want to rig a relay(s) to mimic the operation.

Great, thank you that makes it simple now.
My decal says it is an R-12 system. That is good, I have a tub I bought when I had a mobile auto repair business back in the mid 80's and it started skyrocketing. I think I paid the outrageously high price, then, of 79 cent a pound. I have not put gauges on it yet to see if it is pressurized.
I figure no point until the compressor clutch can be engaged by the circuit. If it does not after all is correct electrically, it is low on freon, and I go from there.

No I have not manicured the wiring harness yet.

Lol, you Americans any your puny little washer bottle's.

I just ordered a rear counterweight for my truck so I can install my 12lb flywheel. Now to locate a Kia Sportage to rob its front differential gears to see if they will be compatible with the B2200 rear (they are compatible with RX7's and Honda S2000's) to give me a 4.77 rear gear ratio.

Also got to install my ported intake manifolds and Atkins aux port sleeves.

I also have a chrome bumper and grille to install, but my stock bumper is pushed up on the passenger side so the grille wont fit, and every carriage bolt that holds on the plastic under the bumper thing is spinning in the bumper, grr. My spare set of bumper brackets also loos like the passenger side is bent.
