Please tell me not everyone runs those... I got a 16" fan for $80, brand new. The ONLY problem it ever had, was the cheap wire I ran for it melted near the battery. I ran it over 2 years in my 1st cab plus, then put it in my 2nd cab plus, and had that for a year, and it was perfect.

Flexalite MIGHT be a good fan, but I wont buy one. SPAL is better and cheaper. FYI if u went E-fan.

(or get one off an import or just any FWD car and make it work, lol)

how much of a difference are you guys seeing from this conversion. and how are you wiring it up... to a toggle or just come on when you turn the key over?

I went with toggle on mine. (toggle + relay) but you can go toggle + relay on IGN, or just run relay off IGN and go to thermostat. Easy as cake bro.

NOTICABLE difference. I also modded that bracket for the fan pulley, cut off the shaft, and ran a 27" v belt to the alternator. Works NICELY. No fan, smaller belt, no pulley, less rotational mass. (revs up much quicker)

pics? if i remembered correctly the fan bracket was conjoined with the alt as well

it is. thats why you modify it. not hard to do actually. Take one off, look at it, and you'll see what u have to do. I can get pics, but not until Saturday when I go back to where the truck is.
