Yes, you can have ps with the EDC. That is how my daughters truck is set up.

If you are running an oiler, then you don't have to put oil IN the compressor. The oiler will lube the reed valves and the rings (seals) on the pistons. Inside the EDC housing is a wobble plate that drives the pistons. The wobble plate runs roller bearings so once it gets a good coat of oil, its good.

Just use the oiler and you will be fine.

im just worried because i took a piece of some material and put in there like a dip stick and it was less than half full.

I went and got those lines from the junkyard, but now I gotta get some type of fitting to connect to a npt....I was thinking about being ghetto and squeezing a fitting in between the line and running a weld around it but I dunno lol.

I also got a relay as suggested.

I had no luck with welding to the stock a/c lines. For my setup I used the stock rubber line from the EDC to where the trap is, then used a hose barb with a hose clamp to convert to npt. Works well and is basically hidden. At some point I will tap the back of the housing for npt and redo everything so I can run the inline oiler but for now it's just to damn cold to get motivated.

Don't worry about it. There will be enough oil vapor from the inline oiler to keep the roller bearings lubed up.

More info on this, sorry to be kinda annoying but this is the best feedback I have seen on any website so far. As far as details and what not on EDC this is pretty much all I need and then Im ready to roll....

what i did is just got a fitting to convert the "out" side on the compressor to a npt and then just got some hydro line and had fittings crimped to both sides. my trap is conected right at the tank to my check valve which is on my tank.

Basically cut the rubber hose at the desired location, use the above fitting with the correct barb and NPT and your set.

When I had my EDC, and when I bag my current maz, I will pull the manifold off the back, and tap the discharge port, and thread in a 90 degree npt to tubing, and go frm there. If not, I'll still tap it, and run hydraulic, hi-temp hose. Worked perfectly on my 1st maz, and I was told by over 1000 people it was NOT possible to do what I did.

Strange shit happened in 2001 i guess.
