sweet.
Both of you are using the factory Sanden's, right?
I have a York 210, and the factory Sanden.
Neither are running yet and now I am trying to decide which one to use.
Factory setup would create less hassel, and trouble I think, but I understand it is not as large as the York (air vol).
I am waiting to see how you guys have set yours up and how well you like it before I make a decision.

Does anybody no what compressors came on ford v8's? like a 302, and if they were self oiling??

It'd be awesome if i could find a self oiling a/c compressor and not have to make brackets for it!

Funny I came across this thread on here. A buddy of mine and I just recently bench tested a Harrison 519 air compressor. It is stock on 6 cylinder S-10s. He had been doing some tests on a Sanden 5 and has Yorks around too. The air flow of a Sanden 5 is right on par with that of a York 209 in small volumes. We've noticed this compressor doesn't fair too well in a tank over 5 gallons though. It drops considerable cfm the higher the volume of the tank is. It's a mean pump on 2 gallons though. One of the tests he had been doing on his Sanden is running is with high temperature grease. We ran my Harrison pump with regular 10-w30 and tranny fluid in the oiler. It didn't like the tranny fluid as much as the thicker oil. It made it run much quieter and smoother. I eliminated my A/C system in my truck but kept the A/C compressor to keep my stock pulleys in tact but figured why let it go to waste? I would love to just add it into the air supply system I already have but I am setup with 12.5 gallons. This compressor will get hot and stay hot trying to fill that much volume. Instead, I think I am going to use it to fill a smaller tank (~2 gals) and boost my other compressors. Right now I have a York 209 and a ViAir 450 (with plumbing and wiring for 2, but not the $$). I also have a SCUBA tank mounted and plumbed, but I don't have it filled yet. With the Sanden, a cheap trickle oiler might not do the trick. We noticed that just letting it trickle didn't keep it running as smooth as it should. We often added oil manually and noticed an instant change. It seems its made to have a constant flow of oil through it. Or grease

i did that to mine. ITs CAKE guys all you gotta do is cut the rubber output line off, put you a fitting on there and run it to your tank.then just cut the power line and tie your pressure switch into that. it fills my 5 gallon tank to 145 in like 43 seconds. ive had it done since this summer and i havent had any problems out of it at all, and it was absoulutly free. you GOT to oil it like every other day though. i just got a bottle of compressor oil and i just squirt some in there bout every other day while im lettin it run and it sucks it right in there. you gotta get a check valve though cause pressure will backfeed back out of it quick if you dont.
