Can soemone maybe tell me how to do a 2-link I am thinking of running 2 pieces of square stock from the front leaf mounts the the axle. How do I mount the square stock to the axle? Or anyone ahve a good picture of a 2-link? I just need a lil help so I can start planning.

as far as how to mount them to the axal:
You need to take out the pin from the middle of the leaf springs, and then weld that pin to the axal side of the 2 link bars, the u just bolt it to the axal the same way that you do the leafs, with U-bolts.

Check out bagman's 2 link pretty simple but clean...

Damn yall if you gonna do it do it somewhat right. This cut the leaf pack in half and reusing the leaf spring ends has got to go. Go buy some 2x2 1/4 and some bar ends from SD or gravity-werx.com.

Ok, I did not like the idea of uses the spring back end ethier. I see that SD sells individual bars, If i buy 2 of these as lower 2 link bars will I ahve to make a mount for the frame side and a mount for axle side? there is no way I can use front spring mount because the mount would be to wide correct?

sorry i dont know where i got cutting aleaf spring in half outta that. But yea that the way it is done. You gonna need apin to hold the the axle in place and just use ubolts and that stock plate to bolt the axle to your bars.

you can either mount the bars off the stock perches or build mounts on the inside of the frame (if your gonna go through moving the whole gas tank and making brackets you might as well just build a four link). If you mount on the stock perches you gotta trim down the endlinks in order to get them to refit. If you dont redrill the holes you will drag through ur 2 link

not to bash but.. if going to all that work, why not make something more then a 2 link.. such as a wishbone 3 link?

People need to stop running 2-links... im sorry but that shit is ghetto fabulous!

a 4-link is not that much money and at least its a much better setup.

well said.. also imo.. if im going to be spending money on something im going to do it right.. im going to do it once!

but.. also.. everyone has there own view of thoughts, its not our truck its his.. an if he wishes to do a 2 link, so be it.. but do it propper then.. ditch the leafs 100% an start new an fresh.
