if you have never used them before they will be tight... spray some wd40 on them, let em losen the dirt and shit up...also put your truck on a jack stand....and i put anti-seize on mine once i had them undone, so it would be easyier down the road to change them....just something to keep in mind....good luck...o and if you want to go lower once you have them cranked all the way, grab a wrench and snap your bumpstops off......and i also sujest unbolting the torsion bar and re aliging it so that your not constantly draging the tips...i wreck mine and learned the hard way....

NAH NO LOCK TITE, ITS JUST THE SPRING TENSION OF THE BARS, IF YOU WILL TAKE A PIPE WRENCH, AND PULL ON THE BAR TO RELEASE TENSION ON THE BOLT IT WILL BE ALOT EASIER. ALSO LIKE F-N-LO SAID MAKE SURE THE TRUCK IS ON JACK STANDS.....

jackstands are alot mroe helful if your heighting it..but lowering it stil helps....
try some wd-40 and then once you can get it moving a bit use so anti seize.......hope this helps....

so if i remove the to bolts conecting the arm to the frame that the tension will be let of the bolt.....

i have no idea what you just asaid,....then again i am drunk, the torsion bar is bolted ontop the lowr arm with to bolts...no you have to totally undo the bolts for the adjusment, then unbol tit form the lower arm pull it ouand offset it a few degrees counter clockwise....the bolt it back up and tighten your adjuster bolt to your sdesired height, you only have to djust it a few increments....good luck im oout to the hot tub,...lol with some women, L88888r

these are the right bolts right
my truck aint no rust bucket like this but if i loosen the bars running to the frame by the control arms the bolt tension should be realesed right???

THAT IS THE RIGHT BOLT THAT IS CIRCLED IN THE PIC, DON'T UNDO THE BOLTS ON THE RECEIVER THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE CONTROL ARM, IF YOU DO IT WILL STILL HAVE ALL THE SPRING TENSION ON IT, AND YOU MIGHT TEAR SOMETHING UP, OR WORSE GET HURT....., TAKE A PIPE WRENCH AND PUT ON THE BAR NEAR THE END WITH THE ADJUSTMENT BOLT, THE BIGGER THE PIPE WRENCH THE LESS YOU WILL HAVE TO STRAIN TO KEEP THE TENSION OFF THE ADJUSTMENT BOLT. IT IS BEST TO HAVE A FRIEND TO HELP YOU WITH THIS AS IT IS HARD TO KEEP TENSION WITH THE PIPE WRENCH AND LOOSEN THE ADJUSTMENT BOLT AT THE SAME TIME.

THEY WILL BE TOO LONG, BUT WILL WORK FOR A WHILE, THE FIRST TIME YOU BOTTOM OUT REAL HARD, IT WILL BUST THE SEALS IN THEM AND THEY WILL BE HISTORY, THAT IS WHAT HAPPENED TO MY STOCK ONES. YOU WILL NEED A SET OF SHOCKS FOR A LOWERED TRUCK, I GOT TOXIC SHOCKS, HAS THEM ON SALE FOR $29.95 EA. RIGHT NOW, I GAVE $35 EA. FOR MINE WHEN I BOUGHT THEM.
