SORTA LIKE THE SHOCK THING, YOU CAN GO W/O THEM, BUT ITS BEST NOT TO. IF YOU DON'T SHIM THE REAR, IT WILL WEAR THE U-JOINT AND CARRIER BEARING, AND YOU WILL ALSO HAVE A NASTY WHEEL HOP IF YOU TRY TO DO A BURN OUT.

i took out all leafs except the rebound and main, and put 6 inch blocks and i was riding the rails....no problems with wheel hop, or pinion angle, only had to replace u joints once the whole time i drove it,...and ifrom what i noe thatey where on for a whiel...

its not acutally that rusty at all, just dirt and shit, thats what my frame looked like, i took a wire brush to it and painted it and it looks like new,...a rust bucket would be defined by gaping holes through the frame,in my opinion, lol
