i have the factory compressor off my 84 but what kind of hoses have to be made i can put a water trap and a check valve in line but what about the oiler and the electrical hook up
trashed   +1y
you need an oiler and a filter on the suction side and a checkvalve, and water trap on the exhaust side....

the edc's dont really use much power, exactly the same as turning the a/c on.

What can be used for the leader hose??

if you use enough of the factory line before it goes to the dot airline, you should be fine. the sanden's put out a temperature in the 200 degree range when they are pumping. you can also hardline it to the tank or run stainless braided line directly off of it like a viar compressor.

gauge magazine sells a 3ft leader hose specifically for EDC's, im sure other people do too. thats the only thing i would trust.

I'm going to hardline mine with copper with a short leader hose between the compressor and where the line connects to the frame. That way it will have some play and not tear the copper. Basically a flex pipe like in an exhaust system.

That is, of course, if I can figure out how to get my York mounted since I can't lay it over on it's side. Damn right hand suction...

It has power steering, but no AC.
