Hydraulics aren't just for mexican's.To alot of people with hydros consider lowrider's a life style. And alot of different people use hydros from spanish, white and black. And for everyone saying you got to use 100 batteries must not know alot about hydros,I was running 2 batteries on my escort and only had to charge it once a week. And with 2 batteries its not putting alot of stress on the car cause its not alot of power. It raise slower than my truck which has 1/2 lines. So it all depends if you know what your doing.Just like any system you just got to take care of it.I had hydros on the wagon for year and never had a leak or broke anything and no fires, you only have fires if you have a bad ground for the batteries.ANd thats where knowing what you are doing comes into play. And v8mazda4ever hydros and bags are illegal in all states that I'm aware of.You can do it on privite property but you CAN NOT do it on the streets. But I love both, but like I said up top I lean more towards hydros cause of the fact you can make an coilover setup so you won't have to leave all that money on the side of the road. This is the coilover setup I made for my escort.I can set it to its lowest point and set it on the ground and if I have a problem I can adjust it up and get it home. This setup is for macpherson struts but you can use it with other vechiles. The 2 on the right are the front and one's adjusted all the way up and the other all the way down.I used reverse flow cylinders but you can use regular flow cylinders also.

hydros are cool just for the fact that nothing looks better then a blinged out hydro setup on a show vehicle, but thats all i'd use them for, to much shit to pack into a daily driver in my opinion

hey tatoo.. in texas under 10mph you can use hydros while in motion!

^ I think I am starting to like Texas a lot more

In my neck of the woods, you can adjust your suspension at stop lights, but not while driving.

Must be nice,my buddy got a ticket at a stop sign because he leaned over to roll down his passanger window and his leg hit the switches and a cop saw it and gave him ticket.I think it was for $250 or $300 can't remember it was awhile ago.But we can do it in parking lots, yay what fun and even then if a cop saw it he can still be a prick and pull you over later if you're on the road.
And flameds 10 love your truck, really look up to your work.

for one you dont need any more steel to reinforce your frame than you would need for airbags unless you plan on hopping the hell out of your ride and if the case was the same for airbags you would need more steel also its not like you are putting anymore stress on the front of your truck by just using a cylinder verses a bag. as for the rear just make a nice battery box and you are set. if your dros are done right and you spend a little extra you will not have to worry about hoses or batterys for that matter i have ran both currently i am running air but i do miss my dros for the simple fact that i know i wont blow a line. as for air its the same it all depends on how much you want to invest in your setup if you go cheap with dros it will screw you in the long run. the three years i had hydros on my old truck i never changed out one seal and that was a daily on coils with no accumulators the only thing i ever broke was one mini coil that costed me i think 15$ as for air after changing all of my dot air line to hydraulic line and some stainless hardline i have no problems with it. i hate the compressor problem. but an edc will take care of that yet again. on and a side note when i had a truck with an edc that thing leaked more oil than my dro setup did any day. and with a street charger for dros you dont even have to worry about charging batterys

oh yeah and for a little side note i have had more problems with my air setup than i have ever had with my hydros

i was about to say the same thing.
i'm bagged, but i'd like to do a truck with hydro's one day. i think they're cool. and for the comment about hydro's get more lift than air... well you can get air cylinders. basically they are the same as a hydraulic ram... right? i know of a guy that got like 14" air cylinders custom made... so don't bullshit me by saying a hydraulic system gets more stroke

Custom made is the key words, but they're are alot of hydraulic cylinders out there from 6" cylinders to 50" cylinders. They're called telescope cylinders, but they run $495 a pair. They work just like a telescope.F-ing huge cylinders.I'm thinking of taking my bags off the truck and switchin to hydros.I got 2 chrome REDS pumps and everything I need except batteries to do it with and I got to get regular cylinders those in the pic are reverse flow cylinders just don't know if I want to switch it over.I can still use the bag mounts for the cylinders so it wouldn't be to hard to switch it over, just got to make a battery rack and mounts for the pumps.I was going to put them on the wagon but then I bought the truck with bags so I never used them.Heres everything I got,I like I said the struts are for the wagon.

a 2 pump 4 dump is the way to go - yeah?
