i went out tonight and bolted a wheel up to the rearend... my wheel is exactly at the edge of the fender... i have like 3.5" on the inside of clearance. i am figuring if i can find a 6lug axle that will swap in that is at least 3"-3.5" narrower (1.5"-1.75" shorter on each side i will tuck easily.......without having to build a backhalf. anyone got any suggestions as to which rearends i should go looking for either tomorrow or next weekend?????

pre-86 mazda axle. Its like 4 inches narrower.

is that 4" on each side or 4" overall (2" each side)??

Like 4" overall. I dont know the exact difference in widths.

I went to get my fourth wheel tonight and they still hadn't gotten the tire mounted....dammit man....they are gonna call the tire rep tomorrow and ask what the f is going on? they got 3 mounted and balanced and the fourth has been worked on for at least 8 hours over 4 days.....lmao... this is some shit... but i'm happy anyways cause i dont have to pay anything.......lol bad part is... i broke a centercap and i dont know the brand or name of the wheels i bought... which sucks ass cause i need to find another freaking centercap. i'm calling my local ford/linc/mercury parts house and see if they have a courier rear end available and inexpensive i hope. i wasted too much time tonight at the tire shop to get any good pics before dark....
i got a new ? though... the steering linkage and the idler arm... i'm 1/2" or less from rubbing it when i lock my wheels when turning... any ideas????

i got a call from the tire shop... they are saying that i can't use the 255/30/22 tires i have already purchased (they have 3 mounted.. but cant get the 4th one done) so they ordered new tires and they will be in thursday. i will be getting falken 245/30/22 tires instead. so hopefully by saturday i will have my freaking wheels and tires finally done.....and bolted onto my truck
