so, time for an update,
I am not working, but I got some good prospects out there right now.
At least I have some time, lol.
Okay so here it is, I got some buddies to help me take off the cab today, so I have a bare chassis, I am gonna dial in the front end as far as the steering goes and clearancing the components, I may Z the front end too.
I love looking at a rolling chassis

Very nice - looks like I'm not the only air brush freak on this site

thanks guys,
Linn, whats your preference in airbrush paints, and who is your preffered supplier?
I was testing the new brush and I am very impressed with it for the price, paid $40.00 yay ebay.
Its a similar cast as the Iwata line

some cleaning and some progress on the cab.
not as bad as I thought it would be!!
very little surgery needed, this is the "tubbin" part for the front end, gonna re plate with 14 guage and protect and sound deaden with DSS rubber rocker guard

Dan, no real particular preference in airbrush paint - all depends on what I am painting. T-shirts I usually use Createx stuff. For cars/truck/bikes I use automotive quality paints that are compatible with whatever clear is intended. I have even played around with water colors thru the airbrush.

I was gonna go with the Kustom Shop line, (Ed Hubbs' stuff) or Auto Air Colors (water based compatable with urethane clear coat) from TCP Global.

I have a similar at home set up to yours, I have been using laquer based systems, because of the high buffing factor, without perfect air quality control, that helps lol, but laquer is very harsh and I dont like gettin painters hangover, too old for that shat. lol

oh yeah I used the clear line so that any vapour would be visable if it gets through the inline dryer/filter system
