TRIPLE POST WHORE! LOL!

Did you plate that area with some metal before you redid the bag brackets?

Whateeever you say Toddley!

Well man, I dunno how well it will go over when other people know that now, but I think popularity shows that it is better to have the area plated with metal before putting in the bag brackets!

I've been told the frames are too think for this sort of thing and plating it will help add strength. I told you in a previous post on the 1st page of this thread to add some steel..

You risk taking a second chance by not plating it. That, and you can weld where there were holes in your frame! So then you can face the gussets the other way!

Anyways, I just want to let you know that so we know its up to you now to decide on whether or not you want to be safer.

just an observation, you should run your to gussets up into the "A" arm mount to help support it. With as much material as you have removed from it there is a good chance that it will rip off the frame. Here are some pics of how I did my front. This has been done for 3 years and I hopped the truck for the first year until it got bdropped and I have had zero problems.

the extra plating on top is because it was built to hop but even without it and a non-hopping truck it works great.
