but you said you can adjust the carrier bearing front to back. . i dunno. . it was jus a guess. . i jus know that that will cause alot of vibration if it is. . .

right its got a slot but when i lowered it i just loosened the carrier bolts, then put the blocks on then tighten it back up. i mean theres no way to adjust it is there other than that right?

Are you talkin about when you dropped the truck? ? I dunno how much adjustability there is in the bracket, i was jus sayin maybe you could loosen the carrier bearing bolts and pull it back a 1/4" to 1/2" and tighten em back up. . I dunno if that would change anything though. . .

Did you say it DID or DID NOT do the problem when you had it on jackstands. . .

it was NOT noticeable on jackstands. i appreciate everyones input im gonna take a better look at the trans mount, and pressure plate. i still feel maybe its flywheel, clutch or tranny related, but hopefully ill get some time to check it out again tomorrow.

Maybe it is the driveshaft pushin in then. . i dunno, cuz when the axle is hangin, maybe it pulls out a lil. . And it pushes in when its on the ground. . idk. . haha, i get stuck on one idea. . well, check that shit out and we'll talk more tomorrow, haha

well the jackstands are on the axle tubes i put them there to load the suspension to simulate driving on the street hoping to find something. im telling yall i was all over this thing i dunno im bout to yank the engine and start the fe3 project. lol. if i didnt need it to haul trash and any other shit i need it to. i just love driving that lil truck even though its got the factory smoke screen..... hell i love that too.

okay..... when you "r&r'd" the bearing and race, did you check and top off the diff. lube after the repair?? I assume that you also replaced the seal... Pulling the plug off and lookin' in might not be enough. I would pull the cover off the rear-end and physically check the gears in there. If it's low on fluid, it more than likely won't show you anything by just pulling the plug. The problems you describe don't really sound like a trans/clutch/flywheel problem, from my experience anyway. If the rear-end's good, you might want to look into your motor mounts too. Just my two cents.... good luck.

yea i topped off the fluid. i replaced both seals. i dropped the drain plug on the rear just for a quick check i figured if something was that wrong back there it would fall out the drain hole. i will take a look at the motor mounts though, it is a rough running lil booger.
