so if this only happens in the 20-40mph range and gearing dosen't affect it, your chasing ghosts again, unless you can rev the motor and make it happen while the truck is stationary

well i double checked the other driveshaft, its the same length as the old one, all the u-joints moved freely before installation, i did push on the driveshaft and check the carrier bearing, and it flexed a lil but i would say it was bad. the blocks and all are good they have been on the truck since i got it about 3 yrs ago. ill give the trans mount a better check i pushed up on the tailshaft and it seems solid. but doesnt it seem like the pressure plate would cause the problem more than it does also?

see I don't know. . . I have never heard the symptoms of a loose pressure plate before. . haha. .

im kinda leanin toward the pilot bushing. .

no i tried reving the engine and it doesnt do it. lol. now yall see me frustration, ive never had anything like this. and its no exageration i mean when taking off or stopping its very noticeable. well see i was thinking about that pilot bearing but the last time the clutch started giving me some problems, it didnt feel right anymore and was letting out higher up on the pedal was hard to get in and out of gear sometimes, pulled the trans out some springs had popped out of clutch took it down and the only thing left of the pilot bearing was the race. but see it never did this then so i dont think that would be it. ill check the pressure plate a lil better later but any other thoughts?

from my past experience if it wasn't a u-joint making the vibration it was the carrier or tranny mount. just what I have for ya. but from the description it's got to be from the back side of the tranny to in between the axle.

also is there adjustment for side to side on the carrier bearing mounts?

hmm i dont know about side to side. i dont think it does or do they? its just got slots to slide it forward or backward.

maybe its too far forward. . . and its pushin it into the transmission too much. .

okay being this is hard to fix things over the net. it wouldn't hurt to check up and down play on the pinion shaft of the axle also. I would also make something to check the run out of the drive line, being it came from a parts truck do you know for sure the tube is straight, maybe it is bent slightly and giving you your headache.

no it did this before changing the driveshaft. and i cant see it being pushed in the trans to much since its the same length and its been lowered the same amount for 3yrs with no problem till now. its only 3 inch blocks the stock leaf springs.

ok maybe your overthinkin this!you said the truck sat for a while!how long?maybe the tires just have flat spots or are out of balance!i would have the tires rebalanced and see what happens!just a thought bro!good luck with getting it fixed!
