Care to explain to us why our setups are half assed and unsafe because we didnt use drop spindles? i dont have drop spindles i do not consider my ride unsafe and very far from half assed. And these statements are coming from somebody that is going to run cut coils on the pre truck? talk about half assed and bouncy as hell and potentially unsafe.

i am runin a 2 inch spindle from airbagit.com and so far i have had no troubles with them. i did however have to move up from my 16 inch wheels b/c they tie rod ends were hitting. the rim an cutting into it. and if flipped ball joints were so unsafe and half assed, people would not continue to do it. but it is not necessary with the spindles.

Your 16" wheels hit the spindles! are these factory wheels? what kind of offset
the AIRBAGIT spindles say they are only designed to work with factory offset
but I'm pretty sure NO ONE actually only runs oem wheels

most of the time you cant run a 16inch wheel with drop spindles because like he said the tie rod ends rub the wheels. There are a select few wheels you can run that wont rub. dont ask me what they are though haha.

I will be on factory steal wheels for a while since i have invested a lot of my money into parts and wheels are probably one of the last things i will get unless i come across some i like locally for the right price. Drop spindles just sound like they will get me into trouble.

How about just running flipped balljoints, which throws off your camber, therefore prematurely wearing through tires which can cause a blowout, or the fact that with the balljoints flipped, they are now working against themselves and have all the weight of the truck pushing down on them adding to the stress they already put up with under regular use. Spindles are just the proper way to go. When I lowered my last truck, I didn't touch the balljoints. All we did was reindex the torsion bars.

As for the pre truck, they don't even make spindles or control arms for them, so there's no other way to lower it without cutting the coils or finding shorter coils that will work.

I'm not saying "don't ever flip balljoints" and all that other stuff...cuz I've done it and we've all done it. When I did it, I didn't like it, so I did it the right way. That was just for static dropping for me. When you're bagging, dependign what you're doing, sometimes further mods need to be done to the front suspension to make it work the way you want it. But when common sense prevails, you find that putting things together the way they aren't exactly made to work isn't always the best idea. Just sayin.

i have drop spindles from airbagit.com but i had to change my from rims. the 14"s i had didnt fit.

I don't even think I'm going to bother because id rather not run into fitment problems with rims.

Another reason people dont use the drop spindles is because you will lose lift. Really no need at all to run drop spindles unless your going bigger than an 18" rim.
