Thanks. Should be doing that this weekend. The reason they were put there was because of the upper arms but I never thought of moving the lowers out.

Damn, your goin to get some crazy lift in the back! hecka tiiiiggghhhttt
laydoutb26   +1y
you can say hella...

leave the bag where it is and just move the bar over you really want to have your bars as far out as possible it will give you a more stable ride.

prolly shouldn't say hella or hecka. they are the worst words ever. so annoying....

Add another gusset to the top of the upper bag mount. you said the 'other one' was under the lower mount? sounds like your just running one gusset per bag mount? yikes!!
i don't know about your rear lift either, you said you're running conti 2500 lb bags... and mounted that close to the pivot point.... it's going to be ungodly soft, and might not get too much lift once you've got a gastank full of gas, bed, compressors and tank mounted. might wanna either upgrade to a heavier bag or move the bad closer to the axle.
how does the front bag look layed out? can u post pics?

actually where he has the bag mounted will create almost the highest lift possible.

like stand the truck on its nose high.

the further the bag is towards the nose of the truck the higher the rear end will lift.

unless youre talking about weight...but its not an issue on the rear end of a truck for the most part

so basically a stock floor body drop isnt even a body drop, it just means you built a custom frame for your truck, to me there is a huge diff. should just call this thread my custom frame project imo

bagged 90 mazda - a stock floor body drop is dropping the body over the frame but keeping a stock or mostly stock cabfloor. so you can do it with your stock frame or by building a new one. to use the stock frame you'd cut the body mounts off and lower them and cut the top portion of your frame and re-box it. it's pretty half ass to do it to the mazda frame, or any stock frame imo, youre better off going with new tubing instead.
hambandit - i know about leverage setups, and i know that the closer you mount the bag to the pivot point increases the weight applied to the airbag. those bags being small and soft are more likely to bulge out and not up. they aren't 7"HE slam bags or anything. yes he'll get a lot of lift, but with everything said and done it'll be really soft.
i'm just saying those are pretty small bags to be mounted so close.

so what size tubing did you use for your frame? 2x3x1/8" ??!?!!!
holy not strong enough!!! that's going to flex like a MOFO.
