So any of you in my area that wants to ride my ass at night, be prepared to have bright ass fog lights shot straight in to your face to show you to get the hell off of it.

The tabs on top of the pumpkin need a gusset on each side. Also those link bars should be sleeved inside with rosette welds, then welded outside, smoothed, and sleeved over with a larger diameter tube with offset cuts on each end and rosette welds in the middle.

looking good

the inside is sleeved also drilled a hole on either side and welded the sleeve solid and smoothed it out as well, the shop said we dont need an outter sleeve because of the type of metal they used on the inner? anyway yes they pumpkin tabs needs gussets this I know, Kinda pushin off the rear right now to get more front cutout, just takin my time, in no huge rush really not driving it as a daily anytimesoon lol!! thanks everyone for the help and input so far.

The type of metal used does not make a difference in weather it needs a sleeve or not. Those bars see a LOT of stress and need an outer sleeve around 5-6 inches long, period. The best way to shorten them would have been to re-tap one end. Butt welding them in the middle creates a huge stress riser.

I thought the same thing about cutting and re-tapping but they talked me out of it. So I dunno, hope it all works well, I might see about sleeving it..
