I think I will still make my debut at RESO as planned, but it is crazy to see it in so many parts. As I look at the photos, it brings to mind the built not bought issue. I feel like I sold out on this one, having Max build it. The ideas are mine though...and I really could not build it as cleanly or safely as he can. I originally notched and bagged this truck, did the body mods and interior, stereo, etc. That is why I am trippin' out on it spread all over Max's shop.

man, screw all that built not bought crap.
i used to feel that way, i think everyone who bags their own car/truck feels that way, until they've done it a few times, and the self humbling feeling goes away, and you realize that some kid hackin it up in his car port definately is not as cool as a reputable shop (such as bio or twistedminis ) bustin out 5 times faster and have it turn out much nicer not to mention safer, because they are pro's that do it day in and day out. i'd rather be the 2nd guy with the reliable truck, instead of the hackjob that did it himself.
seems most people feel the other way.
but like you said its your ideas and thats that.

Yeah, I think what some people don't realize is that there is a certain amount of trial and error that goes on when fabricating something for the first time. I am a competent welder and fabricator, but I got that way by making a lot of mistakes. (some of them on this Mazda) I origanally ran air shocks and 1/8' air line on schrader valves (1991 or 1992) That was what was being done at the time. Now with the full frame craze...thats just beyond my skill level. Plus now I have the "higer paying job" and it requires all of my time. I get home, peer into the garage and say to myself "i'll get to it tomarrow". That explains why it sat there for almost 10yrs...
