my 83 b2000 project

nice!

well i got the rest of the bed cut out tonight. i am going with a 3 inch b.d. on the bed. i measured 1 3/4 inch to the pinch and 2 1/2 inches to the rocker. i will probably go to the rocker on the cab so i will have enough cut away on the bed already. i am about to get started on the filler plates and hopefully start welding them up tomorrow night. here are the pics, let me know what you guys think...

oh, and i am trying like hell to keep the stock gas tank, just relocated. i will have to wait and see though. and the 50/50 4 link will be all forward facing bars soon as well. i will eventually run a bag over bar setup for more lift.


and slammed83, i may have to use the driveshaft out of my parts truck, this one is pretty jacked up. i have to figure out why and get that problem fixed, but i will let you know bro.

thanks man, yeah the cab will be next. i am still an amature at all this so i am trying to pick it up. i want the bed completely finished for TexMex 2008 and the cab done for TexMex 2009 and the whole truck done by TexMex 2010. seems like a long time but i am trying to be realistic. haha. if it gets done before then than sweet.

Progress is lookin good so far man. Are you still working on the 89 or are you gonna finish this one up first?

trying to get this one finished first. i have a hard time sticking to any single one project very long. i seem to keep jumoping around. haha.
