ok well i finally got back to work on the truck. i have been working on my house lately due to it being 30 yrs old and things falling apart. and between that and my job of 60hrs a week and my wife working nights so i have to watch my 3 daughters, well, it just hasn't left much time for the truck/s.

but anyways, i finally got my 84 parts truck completely stripped today so i am puting the heater and a/c back into the 83. i should be getting back on the bed soon. i am about to pull the engine apart and send the head off to get inspected and a few things fixed and then time the engine correctly.

i was going to put a cooler in the bed of the 83 but i have been thinking about it. i think i am just going to build it into my 84's bed when i build my bagged trailer. the parts trucks bed will become a trailer with a bar-b-que pit and a cooler all built into it. i will get some pics up soon. just thought i would give an update.

the upcoming show in march has really got me pumped to work on this thing again. i can't wait!

ok well it's not the bed but i have to get it running again. so here are the most up to date pics on where i am at. and don't worry dev, she will be running real nice for texmex. haha.

the engine hasn't been right since i bought the truck so now i am making it right. there were a ton of problems but i plan on repainting the engine, regasketing it, get the head rebuilt, and replace the throwout bearing.

while i am waiting on the head to get back i will be finishing up the bed.

don't know if you can see it in the pic but the guy that painted the engine painted some internal parts too. not a good idea. i will be getting some paint remover to strip all the parts down and repaint the outside at the end before install.

thats almost as good as finding paper hanging out inside... we tore apart my buddy's SBC and there was a peice of paper or cardboard underneath the intake manf.
